Description
This vintage Westminster poster shows the Elizabeth Tower rising above the Palace of Westminster beside the Thames, with a red double-decker bus travelling along the riverside road. Pedestrians in period coats and hats walk along the pavement under a bold blue sky dotted with cream clouds, with lamp posts, trees and the river completing the scene. It is a classic London landmark view in a retro travel style.
The flat colour shapes, deep blue and warm sandstone tones and confident bold lettering give this vintage England print a nostalgic mid century look. It suits anyone searching for vintage prints, vintage wall art, vintage posters or vintage London travel poster designs, and works well for hallways, living rooms, studies and gallery walls.
The title Westminster runs across the top in strong black serif lettering, with a banner reading Elizabeth Tower below the artwork. It is a lovely wall art choice for lovers of Big Ben, London history, British landmarks and retro city posters.
