Description
This vintage poster shows a lively scene at the British Empire Exhibition, Wembley 1925. A tall fountain sends sparkling water into a curved pool on the left, while visitors in period hats, long coats and summer dresses stroll along a sunlit promenade towards a grand columned exhibition building. Union Jack and Commonwealth flags fly from the towers, and stone lions watch over the entrance.
Painted in a loose, impressionistic travel poster style, the artwork uses warm cream, golden ochre, soft blue and bright red accents, with bold red lettering reading Wembley 1925 across the bottom. It suits anyone who loves vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters with a strong sense of London history and early twentieth century British design.
A lovely choice for a hallway, living room, study or gallery wall, this vintage England poster brings classic Wembley and British Empire Exhibition heritage into your home with colour and charm.
