Description
This vintage style London print shows Nelson's Column rising above Trafalgar Square, painted in soft watercolour tones. The tall fluted column and bronze lion stand in the foreground, with a busy fountain, leafy trees and walking figures in period coats and hats. Behind them, fanciful Gothic spires and a clock tower glow in pink, orange and blue against a cloudy sky.
The cream border and bold purple lettering reading Trafalgar Square give it the look of a classic vintage travel poster. It suits anyone searching for vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters with a British theme, including vintage London posters, vintage England travel art and vintage Trafalgar Square artwork.
The warm, painterly colours work well in a living room, hallway, study or office, and make a thoughtful piece for lovers of London, history and retro travel style. A caption on the poster reads Nelson's Column stands in Trafalgar Square, London, which adds a charming finishing touch to this vintage London wall art.
