Description
This vintage style poster shows the Changing the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace in London, with the title set in bold yellow lettering across a bright blue sky. Three guards in scarlet tunics and tall black bearskin hats stand at the palace gates, one holding a paper in his hands while the others keep their rifles upright at their sides.
Behind them, tall stone gate piers, a gilded crown emblem, golden spear finials and black wrought iron railings frame the scene, with the word PALACE running down the pillar and an ornate lamp rising on the left. The saturated reds, blues and golds give it the look of a classic travel poster, ideal for anyone searching for vintage prints, vintage wall art, vintage posters or vintage London posters.
It suits a hallway, living room, study or gallery wall, and makes a lovely keepsake for anyone who loves London, royal history or British heritage.
