Description
This vintage style Cambridge travel print shows a wooden punt gliding along the River Cam, with a gentleman in a boater hat standing at the stern and two passengers in summer hats relaxing on board. A graceful stone bridge arches over the water, while a Gothic college building with tall pinnacled spires rises on the left and a large weeping willow frames the right bank.
The soft watercolour palette of sky blue, sage green and warm sandstone gives the scene a sunny, nostalgic feel, finished with an aged paper look and classic lettering reading Cambridge, Punting on the Cam, River Cam and The Backs. It suits anyone searching for vintage prints, vintage wall art, vintage posters and vintage travel posters of England.
A lovely choice for fans of Cambridge, university city memories, English riverside scenery and retro railway style travel art. It works well in a living room, study, hallway or gallery wall, and makes a thoughtful gift for graduates, alumni and lovers of British heritage.
