Description
This vintage Cambridge poster shows The Backs in spring along the River Cam. A grid of small illustrated panels pictures daffodils, blossom, willows, stone bridges, college spires, a leaning bicycle and wooden punts on the water. Large patterned lettering spells out the word Spring, with 1950 and UK along the bottom edge.
The soft yellow, green and cream palette gives this vintage print a gentle, nostalgic feel. Below the artwork sits the title Cambridge, The Backs in Spring, followed by three short columns of text about the riverside paths, the college trees and the blossom beside the water. It suits anyone who loves vintage wall art, vintage England posters and retro travel prints.
A good fit for a living room, hallway, study or gallery wall, and a thoughtful gift for Cambridge alumni, flower lovers or fans of vintage British travel posters. The mid century typography and floral detail make this vintage Cambridge wall art a charming addition to a classic or cottage style interior.
