Description
This vintage Cambridge poster shows a punt gliding along the River Cam beneath a low stone arched bridge, with a Gothic college building rising behind weeping willows. A punter in white stands at the back with a long pole while two passengers sit in the wooden boat, and walkers stroll along a path beside the water. Bold red lettering spells out CAMBRIDGE down the left side on a warm cream background.
The illustration is painted in a flat, retro travel style, with teal and turquoise trees, golden willow leaves and soft reflections rippling across the river. It suits anyone searching for vintage prints, vintage wall art, vintage posters or vintage travel posters celebrating Cambridge and the River Cam.
A lovely choice for Cambridge alumni, lovers of English riverside scenes and collectors of vintage England wall art. The colourful palette and classic university city scene bring a nostalgic touch to a living room, study, hallway or gallery wall.
