Description
This vintage Japanese cinema poster shows a striking front-facing portrait of a woman with a blunt black bob, pale golden skin and bold winged eyeliner. A black cat-ear hood sits above her fringe, with two large yellow cat eyes set into the dark shape. The whole design is set against a vivid lemon yellow background in a high contrast screen print style.
Large red Japanese characters spell kuro neko, meaning black cat, across the lower half, finished with a thick black shadow. A small red sun emblem sits in the top left corner, and the line KURO NEKO and VINTAGE JAPANESE CINEMA runs along the bottom edge in red capitals.
A bold choice for anyone who loves vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters, especially vintage Japanese cinema posters, retro film poster design and graphic cat art. The black, yellow and red palette suits a gallery wall, a living room, a studio or a hallway, and it works well beside other Japanese wall art and retro portrait prints.
