Description
A striking original-style reproduction of the classic Aeromaritime advertising poster, c.1950, promoting the Services Aeriens des Chargeurs Reunis route along the Cote Occidentale d'Afrique — from Dakar to Pointe Noire. The composition features a boldly rendered African warrior drawing a bow and arrow in the foreground, his muscular form painted in warm earthy tones with traditional face markings and a beaded belt. Rising dramatically behind him is a French flying boat — registration F-AOUM visible on the fuselage — rendered in cool grey against a pale cream background. Bold deep-red lettering spells out AEROMARITIME across the top, with destination text in contrasting black and red below. The artwork is signed by the illustrator Allenet and exemplifies the powerful, graphic Art Deco poster style of mid-century French aviation advertising. A rare and visually arresting piece of aviation history and African travel imagery, ideal for a study, office, or gallery wall. Printed as a high-quality digital download or art print reproduction.
