Description
This vintage cycling poster shows three road cyclists riding side by side in a tight group, set against a deep forest green background with snow capped Alpine mountains and dark pine forest below. The riders wear helmets, sunglasses and fitted jerseys in white, pale blue and yellow, and each rides a cream coloured racing bike with drop handlebars. Bold yellow and pale blue speed streaks sweep beneath the wheels to give a strong sense of movement. The words Tour de France run vertically down the left edge in large cream lettering, with the word De picked out in yellow.
The flat, graphic style, limited colour palette and mountain landscape give it the look of classic travel and sporting posters. It works well as vintage wall art for a living room, study, hallway, home gym or garage, and suits anyone who loves road cycling, mountain stages and French cycling history. Fans of vintage prints, vintage posters and vintage cycling art will find it a striking focal point for a gallery wall.
The poster is a physical print on quality paper, ready to frame and display. The green, cream and yellow tones pair easily with oak or black frames and with both modern and traditional interiors, making it a thoughtful gift for cyclists, race fans and anyone who enjoys retro sports art.
