Description
This vintage style poster shows a black and white halftone photograph of a man in profile set inside the outline of the United States map. Hands reach in from the side with an aerosol can, a powder puff, a brush and a lipstick, giving a behind the scenes look at a political image being prepared. Bold red lettering across the map reads Nixon 1968.
The design uses a strong red background with heavy black and cream serif lettering that reads The Public Image Behind The Scenes and Richard Nixon. A cream band along the bottom edge and a lightly worn paper texture give it the look of a retro political pamphlet from the late sixties.
A striking choice for anyone who collects vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters, especially vintage political posters and Americana. It suits a study, office, living room or gallery wall, and works well as a conversation starter for history lovers and fans of 1960s graphic design.
