Description
This vintage cycling poster shows a peloton of racing cyclists in navy blue riding hard through a stylised city, with bold blocks of red, blue, green and yellow rising behind them. Fine line shading, strong geometric shapes and a cream background give the design a classic 1930s Art Deco feel.
Large lettering across the top reads Peloton Urbain 1936, and the words Rues en Couleurs sit along the bottom, all framed by a slim double border. It is a lively choice for fans of vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters, especially anyone who loves road cycling, French style typography or retro sports artwork.
The bright primary colours and confident composition work well in a living room, hallway, home office, garage or cycling den. It makes a thoughtful gift for road cyclists, bike racers and collectors of vintage cycling posters who enjoy bold mid century graphic design.
