Description
This vintage columbine poster shows clusters of cream, pale lilac and burgundy blooms with golden yellow centres, set among deep green lobed leaves and trailing buds. The flowers appear in a range of forms, from open star shaped petals to nodding spurred bells, all painted in a detailed botanical illustration style.
The background is made up of aged newspaper columns with a warm tea stained finish, speckled marks and a faint circular stamp. The distressed paper texture gives the piece a charming antique look that suits cottagecore, farmhouse and cosy country interiors.
If you are searching for vintage prints, vintage wall art or vintage posters with a floral theme, this vintage botanical columbine design brings a soft, muted colour palette to a gallery wall, hallway, bedroom or kitchen. It makes a thoughtful choice for gardeners and lovers of old fashioned flower illustrations.
