Description
This vintage botanical print shows a dense woodland garden filled with lavender and pale yellow columbine flowers, also known as Aquilegia, with their curling spurs and soft trailing petals. Small pale blue forget-me-not blooms, clusters of tiny cream and yellow flowers, rounded green foliage and dark ripe blackberries fill the scene against a deep forest green background.
The detailed, layered illustration has the feel of a medieval tapestry or mille-fleurs style garden, with rich greens, soft purples and creamy yellows throughout. A cream border and bold Aquilegia title with the words Columbine flowers underneath give it a classic museum style finish. A lovely choice for fans of vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters with a botanical theme.
This vintage floral poster suits kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and cottagecore spaces, and works well in a gallery wall with other vintage flower posters or garden prints.
