Description
This vintage botanical illustration shows a woman with long wavy brown hair, dressed in a deep green cloak, holding a large bouquet of pink tulips and blossoms close to her face. The flowers include soft pink tulip buds, pale pink open blossoms with golden centres and rich burgundy blooms, all set among detailed green leaves and slender buds.
The artwork has a fine engraved, hand coloured look with delicate cross hatching on the clothing and hair, set against a warm cream background. Along the bottom is a neat row of botanical studies, including a tulip bud, single blossoms, a leafy sprig and a small rosebud, giving it the feel of an antique plant plate. The title Woman with Pink Flowers sits beneath in elegant script, with the subtitle Tulips and Blossoms.
This piece suits anyone looking for vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters with a romantic floral theme. Its soft pink, burgundy and sage green palette works well in a bedroom, living room, hallway or gallery wall, and it pairs nicely with other vintage botanical posters and antique style floral prints.
