Description
This vintage wine poster shows a round, joyful dancing figure in a wide brimmed hat topped with tiny lit candles, balanced on the rim of a giant tilted wine glass. He holds a small glass of red wine in one hand, raises the other and kicks up a foot, giving the whole scene a playful, celebratory mood. The large glass is drawn in loose, dry brush strokes of deep green, with a generous pool of rich burgundy red wine at the bottom.
The bold hand lettered title La Grosse Degust is set in expressive crimson brushwork, with French event details below in clean serif type, including a Saturday in June date, a wine merchant in Troyes, and a lineup of growers from Champagne, Loire and Rhone. The creamy off white background and limited palette of green, crimson and black give it the look of classic French vintage posters.
A charming choice for fans of vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters, especially vintage wine posters, French bistro style prints and wine lover decor for a kitchen, dining room, bar area or cellar.
