Description
This vintage Westminster London map print shows an illustrated aerial view of the River Thames, Westminster Bridge, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, drawn in fine ink linework with tiny boats on the water. The streets, parks, squares and rooftops of the surrounding area are detailed block by block in the style of a late nineteenth century bird's eye city plan.
The colour palette is warm and retro, with a soft teal and sage green river and parkland, terracotta orange streets at the bottom and a cream paper tone. Bold sans serif lettering spells out WESTMINSTER across the top and LONDON along the bottom, giving it the feel of a classic travel poster.
A great fit for anyone searching for vintage prints, vintage wall art or vintage posters of London, this Westminster map poster suits a living room, hallway, study or office. It also works well for lovers of vintage England, Big Ben, old city maps and retro travel art, in a clean unframed design that is easy to style in a frame of your choice.
