Description
This vintage Westminster poster shows the Palace of Westminster and the Elizabeth Tower, often called Big Ben, seen across the River Thames on a bright blue summer day. Two river boats cross the water, a decorative black and gold lamppost rises in the foreground, and three people lean on the embankment wall looking out at the view. Bold lime green lettering spells out the word Westminster across the sky.
Painted in a mid century travel illustration style, the scene is full of warm golden stonework, sparkling water reflections and a clear blue sky. It makes a striking London print for anyone who loves vintage England posters, retro British travel art and classic landmark views.
A good choice for a living room, hallway, study or gallery wall, this vintage wall art suits fans of London, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. It also works well alongside other vintage prints and vintage posters of British cities and landmarks.
