Description
This vintage Wembley poster shows a guardsman in a tall bearskin hat and white tunic standing in the foreground, with a busy crowd walking towards a grand pale exhibition building behind him. Colourful flags fly above the columned entrance, while fountains, flower beds and tall trees fill the scene. The lettering reads British Empire Exhibition 1925 and Wembley in bold red.
Painted in a loose, textured illustrative style with warm cream, gold, red and soft blue tones, it brings a sense of London history and early twentieth century travel poster charm. It suits fans of vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters, especially anyone drawn to vintage England posters, vintage London art and retro British travel style.
It would sit well in a living room, hallway, study or gallery wall, and makes a thoughtful choice for lovers of British history, royal guard imagery and Wembley heritage.
