Description
This vintage cycling poster shows five racing cyclists riding in a line down a bold sweep of red brushwork, each wearing a different coloured jersey in red, blue, yellow, green and polka dot. The riders sit low over lightweight road bikes with narrow wheels and drop handlebars, all wearing helmets and sunglasses.
In the background, the tiered Gothic belfry of the Dom Tower rises above soft green trees and old rooftops, identifying the city of Utrecht. Large black distressed lettering across the top reads Grand Depart Utrecht 2015, set against a warm cream background that gives the piece a retro, hand printed feel.
This is a strong choice for fans of vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters, especially anyone who loves road cycling, Dutch cities or Tour de France style imagery. The bold red, cream and black palette suits a hallway, study, garage, bike room or living room gallery wall.
