Description
This vintage style York poster shows The Shambles, the narrow cobbled street lined with overhanging timber-framed buildings in ochre and cream, alongside red-brick shopfronts with white sash windows. Hanging signs in teal, red and blue project over the winding street, with a soft blue sky and clouds above, and bold lettering naming The Shambles and York.
A warm palette of terracotta, mustard, teal and cream gives this vintage England print the look of a classic retro travel poster. It suits anyone searching for vintage prints, vintage wall art or vintage posters of historic British streets, and it makes a characterful addition to a hallway, living room, study or gallery wall.
Perfect for lovers of York, Yorkshire and medieval architecture, this vintage York poster is a fitting souvenir of a visit or a gift for someone who loves British towns and cities. The clean white border gives it a finished, framed look.
