Description
This vintage airline poster shows a silver-white Swissair Convair Metropolitan twin-propeller airliner flying high across a bright blue sky, its red tail marked with a white Swiss cross. Below, a Swiss lakeside town of terracotta rooftops, church spires and a green domed building sits in front of a long range of snow-capped Alpine mountains.
The painted travel poster style gives it a clean, nostalgic mid-century feel, with soft white clouds and a crisp cream panel at the foot carrying the bold blue title Convair Metropolitan and a line of German text. It suits fans of vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters, especially anyone who loves vintage airline posters, retro aviation art and classic Swiss travel imagery.
A good fit for an aviation lover's study, hallway, living room or office, and a thoughtful choice for pilots, aeroplane enthusiasts and collectors of Swiss and mid-century travel posters.
