Description
This vintage steam train print Poster shows a dark green streamlined locomotive, numbered 12004, rolling through a city of tall Art Deco skyscrapers. The artwork is split into four horizontal panels, each giving a different view of the engine, from the rounded nose and the curved side with gold trim to the spoked driving wheels and the tender with its carriages trailing behind. Billowing white steam drifts around the tracks in every panel.
Bold black lettering across the top reads City Steamliner, with a small round green badge and the line No. 12004, Steam through the city. at the bottom. The soft watercolour style, muted lavender skyline and creamy off white background give it the look of a classic railway travel poster. It suits vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters collections, and works well for train lovers, railway enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys retro transport art.
A strong choice for a study, hallway, living room, boys bedroom or gallery wall, bringing a touch of mid century railway nostalgia and rich green colour to the space.
