Description
This vintage Soviet cinema poster shows a woman in profile with a voluminous ochre fur hat, looking to the left with a serious expression and a dark pipe held in her mouth. She wears a bold red scarf over a dark coat, set against a teal blue background with a bright red rectangle behind her head. The Russian lettering across the top and bottom gives the design a strong Soviet film feel.
The look is typical of 1920s Russian graphic design, with flat blocks of colour, bold sans serif lettering and a stylised lithograph portrait. A cream border and a soft aged paper texture add to the vintage character. It suits lovers of vintage posters, vintage prints and vintage wall art with a Soviet and Russian theme.
The saturated red, teal and gold palette makes a striking focal point for a study, living room, office or gallery wall. It works well for anyone who collects vintage Soviet film posters, Russian constructivist style graphics or retro cinema wall art.
