Description
This vintage style travel poster shows a steam train crossing a tall stone viaduct high above the historic market town of Richmond in North Yorkshire. Beneath the arches, pale stone houses with warm orange tiled roofs sit among green trees, with the castle keep and ruins rising on the hill behind. A calm river and an old stone bridge complete the scene, painted in soft watercolour tones of teal, green and sky blue.
The lettering reads Ride to Richmond, Richmond Yorkshire and Castle above the town, giving the artwork a classic railway travel look. It suits anyone searching for vintage prints, vintage wall art, vintage posters and vintage train posters, as well as lovers of Yorkshire, the Dales and British railway nostalgia.
A charming choice for a hallway, living room, study or gallery wall, this poster brings a sense of English countryside heritage and the golden age of steam travel into the home.
