Description
A vintage style London poster showing Nelson's Column rising above Trafalgar Square in a flat, retro illustration. The tall blue-grey column and statue sit against a soft, textured grey background, with a bold vertical NELSON headline running down the left side. At the base, a bronze lion rests on the plinth, while red double decker buses, a black street lamp and small figures bring the busy square to life.
The scene is set in a muted 1960s palette of slate blue, warm red, soft green and sandy cream, with the National Gallery dome and green trees in the background. Small Spanish text and the line Londres / 1963 add a charming travel poster detail. It is a lovely choice for anyone searching for vintage prints, vintage wall art or vintage posters with a London landmark theme.
This vintage England print suits living rooms, hallways, studies and gallery walls, and makes a thoughtful gift for lovers of London, Trafalgar Square and mid century travel illustration.
