Description
This vintage Lord Kitchener poster shows a stern officer in a cream-topped peaked cap and khaki uniform, with a bold moustache and one hand pointing straight at the viewer. The large navy lettering across a bright blue background gives the design strong impact, making it a striking vintage poster for any wall.
In the lower corner, a line of soldiers with rifles and fixed bayonets march uphill across a vivid red field beneath a waving Union Jack. The flat colour blocks, rough brush texture and bold typography follow the look of early twentieth century British propaganda style graphics, popular with fans of vintage prints and vintage wall art.
A strong choice for a study, hallway, man cave or living room, this vintage British history poster suits collectors of military memorabilia, First World War history and retro typography. The blue, red and khaki palette sits well with classic, industrial and eclectic interiors.
