Description
This vintage Lake District poster shows a tranquil lake framed by a tall russet tree in the foreground, with dark evergreens on the right and green wooded shores sweeping towards distant blue hills. Bold navy lettering sits above the scene against a soft blue sky, giving the design a classic mid-century travel poster look.
The warm autumn colours of orange, rust and deep green contrast beautifully with the calm blue water and its gentle reflections. A few small white cottages sit along the far shore, adding a quiet sense of scale. It makes a lovely vintage England print for anyone who loves the Cumbrian lakes, countryside walks and nostalgic British landscape art.
This vintage wall art suits a living room, hallway, study or bedroom, and works well in a gallery wall alongside other vintage prints and vintage posters. A charming vintage travel poster style piece for lovers of the English Lake District, retro landscape scenes and autumn colour.
