Description
This vintage Japanese print shows a bold stylised face in profile, with one large watchful eye, red lips and sharp black hair shapes set against a bright yellow ground. A pale yellow ray cuts diagonally through the scene while soft blue curved accents sweep across the face. Japanese characters sit in a cream panel along the bottom edge, inside a neat double border.
The design has the flat colour blocks, speckled texture and graphic simplicity of a vintage matchbox label, which gives it a warm retro character. It suits anyone who collects vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters, and works well in a gallery wall, a studio, a bedroom or a hallway. The yellow, black, red and blue palette adds a confident pop of colour to both modern and eclectic interiors.
If you love vintage Japanese posters, retro graphic design and mid century Japanese advertising style art, this poster brings that look to your wall as a physical printed piece.
