Description
This vintage Japanese cherry blossom print and poster shows a large cream sakura flower with burgundy stamens at its centre, set against a deep green background filled with smaller blossoms, buds, falling petals and bare branches. A pale blue speech bubble carries the line 桜を描く春, while bold black lettering along the bottom reads 桜の図案展, with the dates 4月12日 to 27日 and 大阪 beneath it.
In the lower right corner, a small scene of an Osaka style castle, an arched bridge and a river is framed by pink blossom trees. The woodblock inspired look, the muted cream, green and burgundy palette and the aged paper texture make this a charming choice for vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage Japanese posters.
It suits a kitchen, living room, hallway or gallery wall, and works well for fans of Japanese vintage design, floral wall art, botanical prints and spring themed decor.
