Description
This vintage Hampstead Heath poster shows a green London landscape in a bold comic panel layout, with the place name set in large pink lettering on red blocks. Sheep graze and rest in dappled shade beneath big oak trees, while a distant church spire rises above the soft treeline and a pale sky with clouds. A small panel of oak leaves and acorns adds a neat detail.
The flat colours and hand inked outlines give it the look of a classic travel style illustration, making it a lovely choice for lovers of vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters of England. The fresh greens, cream background and bright red and pink typography suit a living room, hallway, kitchen or gallery wall.
A charming vintage London poster for anyone who loves Hampstead, the English countryside, sheep and woodland scenes, or British parkland art.
