Description
This vintage coffee poster shows two women sharing a table in a cafe, one lifting a decorated teacup while the other stirs her drink with a spoon. A black and white cat sits in the foreground, looking up at them. The bold red lettering reads Cafe du Chat, with the script line Cups and Company printed near the bottom.
The illustration is drawn in a retro linocut style, with fine black outlines, solid black hair and cat, and soft blue and cream vertical stripes behind the scene. A small lidded pot sits on the round table beside the cups. The limited palette of red, blue, black and cream gives it the look of a classic French cafe print.
It works well as vintage wall art for a kitchen, dining area or coffee corner, and suits anyone who loves vintage prints, vintage posters and vintage coffee themes. Cat lovers will enjoy the cosy mood and the charming black cat at the centre of the scene.
