Description
This vintage style Cambridge print is a bold, colourful illustration of the famous university city in England. Four comic panel scenes sit beside a tall red lettered title, showing a honey coloured Gothic college tower, a punter on the River Cam beneath weeping willow branches, a bright sun with birds over the trees, and the Bridge of Sighs beside St John's College.
The hand drawn linework, halftone dots and a lively palette of red, pink, sky blue, green and gold give it the feel of a retro travel poster. A small Union Jack sits in the corner above the words Cambridge Calling in chunky pink capitals. It suits anyone searching for vintage prints, vintage wall art or vintage posters with a British university town theme.
A lovely choice for Cambridge alumni, students, graduates, punting fans and lovers of vintage England travel art. It works well in a hallway, study, living room or gallery wall, adding a cheerful splash of colour and a nod to classic English heritage.
