Description
This vintage Big Ben poster shows Elizabeth Tower in Westminster, London, photographed from below against a textured, speckled grey paper background. The golden stonework, pointed dark roof, gilded spires and two blue-grey clock faces stand out beautifully, with bold black lettering across the top reading Big Ben and Westminster 1859.
A short block of text in a classic serif typeface tells the story of the tower beside the River Thames at the Palace of Westminster. It is a striking piece for anyone who loves vintage prints, vintage wall art and vintage posters with a London travel feel, and it suits a gallery wall, hallway, living room or study.
The Gothic Revival detail is full of character, from the ornate carved panels to the intricate clock surrounds. A strong choice for fans of vintage England posters, British landmark prints and vintage London wall art, and a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves the city.
