Description
This vintage aviation poster shows a goggled aviator in a red-brown leather flying helmet seated in an open cockpit, with a small pale aircraft far off against a soft blue sky. Bold navy lettering announces the MacRobertson Air Race and the year 1934, set on a warm cream background with a worn, retro printed feel.
The design is built around the long-distance England to Australia route, with the words across the continents and a new horizon for flight adding to the sense of adventure. A limited palette of navy, rust red and sky blue gives it the look of classic vintage posters and vintage airline posters, making it a striking choice for vintage wall art collectors.
A fine fit for vintage prints lovers, pilots and aviation fans, this vintage aviation print suits a study, hallway, living room or gallery wall. The strong typography and heroic cockpit portrait bring early flight history into any space.
